My SportDOG® 425X, 425XS or 425XCamo Won’t Charge

Confirm the unit is being fully charged.

  • Do not remove the collar or remote from the charger until it is flashing green, indicating a full charge.

If one unit is not charging, try charging the other.

  • For example, if your remote is not lit up when on the charger, try the collar. This will determine if it is an issue with the unit or the charger.
  • If the unit is the issue, visit http://sportdog.com to purchase a new remote or collar.
  • If the charger is the issue, purchase a new one here.

Try another outlet.

  • If neither unit is charging, try a different outlet and USB brick. If you need a new USB brick, it can be purchased here.

Check the charging pins.

  • Make sure the pins in the charging port are straight and free from debris. If there is debris in the port, clean it out with plain water or compressed air.
  • If your charging port is dirty because of a missing rubber cover, purchase a new one by contacting customer care.
